Facts

66% of Arizona adults ages 25-49 have no college degree
Sources: American Community Survey 2005

At 24.3% Arizona ranks 7th for the number of working adults (25-64) with “some college”
Source: Council for Adult and Experiential Learning Report 2008

At 17.1% Arizona ranks 38th for the number of bachelors degrees awarded to adults 25-50
Source: American Community Survey 2005

Why this gap?
At the current rate, it is not possible for Arizona to reach levels of international competitiveness by 2025 if they only focus on traditional aged college students. “They must rely on the re-entry pipeline – getting older students back into the education system and on track to attaining college degrees.”
